Do you have a store that I can visit to purchase Beach Being apparel?
Unfortunately there are no Beach Being stores. Currently, you can only get merchandise by ordering from the Beach Being website. We do plan to attend a few, select conferences and festivals around the U.S. (See "the goings on" section of the web site for dates and details.) At these events, we will offer a limited selection of merchandise. We also will are exploring the possibility of distributing our clothing to different retailers for sale to the public.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Yes, shopping at Beach Being is safe. We have a business relationship with PayPal, a nationally recognized leader in secure online transactions. When you purchase an item from our web site, it is PayPal that receives your credit card information. We only capture your address and e-mail to confirm and ship your order. PayPal encrypts your credit card number when transmitting over the Internet using what's called triple key encryption technology by Secure Server Certification Authority RSA Data Security, Inc., U.S. and a VeriSign SSL (Secure Socket Layer*) to ensure your Internet transactions are safe.

*A Secure Socket Layer (SSL) means your personal information, including credit card number, is encrypted and is readable only by PayPal's order processing department.

VeriSign, Inc., is the leading provider of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificate solutions used by enterprises, web sites, and consumers to conduct secure communications and transactions over the Internet and private networks.

Do I need a particular version of a web browser to shop at Beach Being?
Yes. Ordering from our site requires the use of an SSL-compliant browser. We recommend using Netscape 3.02 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or later. For AOL users, either the 3.0 or 4.0 AOL client for PCs or the 4.0 AOL client for Macs is recommended.

I don't have a credit card or a PayPal account. Is there any other form of payment?
Yes. Beach Being purchases may be paid for by check or money order. Instead of adding to the PayPal Cart from the shop, note what items you want and then proceed to the "Checkout" section. We still have our original form up, so you can fill that out with what you want to order, including shipping and handling (and sales tax, if applicable) as well as any special requests, questions or comments. Submit the form to us, and we will send you a confirmation email to verify that your order is correct. Once that is done, please mail us a printed copy of your order form, along with a check or money order made payable (in U.S. Dollars) to:

Can I place an order by phone?
No, Beach Being does not currently take orders by phone. Purchases may only be made through the Beach Being website, authorized retailers, or at one of the select conferences or festivals we plan to attend.

Can I ship my order to a PO Box?
Yes. However, we prefer you use a street address (if you have one) to ensure proper delivery.

How long does it take to process and ship an order?
Beach Being asks that you allow 10-15 business days to fulfill your order. This is the normal turnaround time, but should there be any unforeseen circumstances or if the item(s) you want is out of stock and needs to be back ordered, fulfillment may take longer. Beach Being will do its best to keep you informed of the status of your order if anything out of the ordinary should occur. Once your order is ready to ship, it will normally take 2-3 days. All domestic U.S. orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and Beach Being will provide you with a confirmation number to track your order (Delivery Confirmation does not apply to orders from military bases). International orders are shipped via standard airmail, so delivery time will be slightly longer.

Do you bill at the time of order, or do you bill at the time of order processing/shipping?
When ordering from Beach Being through PayPal, PayPal will automatically deduct the charges from your credit card account. We have no control over when PayPal does this - either immediately or following a few days (i.e., E-Check Verification). What PayPal will do, however, is place the payments into Beach Being's own PayPal business account, and we normally don't access those funds until we group everything together and deposit it into our business bank account. So you may order at the beginning of one month and be charged, but we will not touch your payment until the end of the month when we make our bank deposit. If receiving payment by check, checks will be verified and deposited, then your order will be shipped out.

It's been more than two weeks. Why haven't I received my order?
It could be one of several reasons (i.e., item is not in stock, item lost in the mail) that may cause a slight delay in receiving your purchase. We do our best to keep you updated on the status of your order. Should there be an unexpected delay and no update from us, please email us at orders@beachbeing.com and let us know so that we can investigate and make sure your order is fulfilled as soon as possible.

NOTE: Beach Being is only responsible for your order up until the time it leaves the warehouse. Once it leaves, the responsibility is in the hands of the US Postal Service. Should an order be lost in the mail, Beach Being waives all responsibility other than providing a tracking number (if applicable), and any further issue will be between the customer and the US Postal Service.

Can I get a refund or exchange this item for a different size?
Yes. Beach Being does have a refund/exchange policy. We send it out with all our confirmation emails, but for your quick reference, our policy is below:

RETURNS/EXCHANGES
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, return your merchandise within 15 days in unused condition with a note explaining the problem and e-mail returns@beachbeing.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#). Beach Being will only accept returned merchandise with a valid RMA#. We'll gladly exchange it with the same or other item of equal value, or refund the purchase price minus shipping. No postage due returns will be accepted and no credits will be issued for shipping charges. And please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.
